The land of commies and socialists!
I am simply curious if anyone else here commits random acts of kindness for people? I will admit that I tend to so more of it around the holidays.

As an example this morning the family piled into the car to go to breakfast and then get a Christmas tree. This is an after Thanksgiving tradition for us.

At breakfast I picked up the tab for an older gentleman wearing a veteran hat. While paying our tab I noticed a table that had two other vets sitting at it. A younger man with his wife and kids and grandparents. I pointed them out to the manager and payed their bill as well with tip.

In both cases I asked not to be identified as it's not my style. I don't need recognition and honestly do poorly when talked to after doing such things. I am honestly not sure why.

At some point this year I'll probably go to the grocery store and try to pick out people who look like that could use a little help and put some money on their bill. I think I'll pull out some cash and spread it around a little.

One of these days I'll see one of you ugly some bitches in an SVPT shirt and pick up your bill and you still won't know who the hell I am. It will just happen.

So does anyone else do this type of stuff?

So you give poor looking people money for food and groceries, then claim you’d do the same for the guy in an SVTP shirt with a banging ass chick next to him?

Never judge a book by its cover! 80% of this forum needs no charity for we are gods amongst mortals!

Cool stuff though for real.

It's not charity in my eyes. Charity would be handing out 20s to homeless people. The people I bought breakfast for didn't look poor at all either.

And I am well aware that the majority of this forum doesn't need a damn thing from me but given the opportunity I'd still do it.

Giving is a gift that is rewarding to the giver as well as the recipient. It is hard to forget for the recipient and appreciated for being noticed in this sea of weird peoples. Carry on OP, it's a good thing!

Kindness can, and should be, contagious. Passing it forward so to speak. I like the anonymous part because if you are generous routinely, people CAN believe you're doing it for personal recognition. There are times where the person will know who is giving the blessing, but just doing it anonymously can be best at times.

@Blkkbgt, I share your desire to someday be in a grocery store and find people in REAL need to help out financially with their groceries. The ones I DON'T want to give money to are the people who routinely stand outside at intersections holding signs stating they are homeless and need help. But....they're out there every day and I've seen patterns of switching off to other people. A majority of those are not really homeless (at least the ones that I've seen here locally) but are local people who choose not to work and live on handouts. We had 2-3 "teams" of "homeless" standing at the entrance to our local Costco for at least 9 months. Same people every day. One in particular looked very healthy and obviously worked out somewhere. Finally, Costco must have contacted the local police and there's been nobody there, along with a no-soliciting sign. Giving routinely to genuine people in need is a real desire of mine, and my wife. We've given to people we don't know, but we don't do it enough. I want to be in a position to do it whenever and wherever there is a real need.

Often buy other people's meals. Like to buy the person behind me meals in fast food lines as well. Three teens were about to sit down the other day for a meal at Waffle House and I threw them 40 to cover breakfast. We were not able to have kids so we usually adopt a co-worker's kid or kids to spoil a little as Santa. Don't usually mention these things because it takes away from it IMO. Should do it for them, maybe for you in being a giving person. Not for others to see you being a good person...happens too often that way.

I help out where I can throughout the year.

1/ I usually will buy any LEO or someone wearing military uniform lunch/coffee if I am within a few people of them in line.

2/ Helped a kid around 14-15 out a few months ago. He was with a few of his friends and they were getting sandwiches. They all paid and he was trying to pay for his but I guess his card got declined. I heard him call his mom to tell her that his card got declined and asked if she could put money on it. I told him dont worry about it and I paid for it.

I try to when I can. Last Friday I left my side gig of delivering the Mexicans in the back asked me if I could go to the sketchers store for them. I went 10miles back and forth for them. The chef hooked me up with a spiral ham on Thanksgiving couldn't say no. Lmao

I do for people I know that deserve it. My mother was a very giving person to this around her and I picked it up from her.

The rest of society can **** right off.
