i will agree it seems they did enough to get by but maybe that just speaks to how well done the raptor is. as far as looks, well that’s subjective but the reality is they did the same thing ford did, wider fenders and bed sides to accommodate the wider track and a different grille and hood. I think the difference is RAM basically made a beefy looking rebel so we were expecting a greater variation say like the FX4 and raptor. I definitely agree in the right hands this TRX is likely every bit as capable as the raptor because to me what was changed to accomplish the end product is pretty much similar components. I also think much like has happened to raptors or even more so, some TRX owners will go full send and wad these up. as far as the performance aspect, I would be inclined to think it won’t matter much but it will sound great on the street so yes that’s an appeal to someone like myself. I think to some it’ll be worth 20k more, for me if I didn’t already own a truck id be more inclined to buy. as of now I have a 19 ram Laramie with pretty much every option including air suspension which I have found very handy for my needs and use. I daily drive it and do no real off road driving so the TRX and raptor is more than I need and it caused me to walk from the raptor already. I will be watching the market for the TRX and if I start seeing the 8-10k off I’d be motivated to consider trading up but unless that happens I don’t see enough upside to it currently.
