Waze has saved more times the past 2-3 years than my radar detector at this point, I just forget to look at it sometimes. That's probably the biggest reason I haven't upgraded my old V1 yet (I have sent it in for updates)

I'm still rocking a V1 (with most recent upgrades). I'd switch to a Radenso M or something else but all the new detectors have basically zero laser detection. Yes, I know that I "need a laser jammer for true laser protection." Unfortunately those are illegal in CO. I'd rather have a 10% chance of laser detection than a zero chance. I've definitely been alerted to a CSP shooting laser in traffic before he could tag me (was going 20+ over the limit so I highly doubt he just "let me go").
I don't need or want the 10 mile or whatever Ka range of the Uniden R7. What's the point of that range?
