What should the spark source be at idle on a fully warmed up engine? Is it BKT or Idle Feedback?

Also wondering what triggers idle control? All I can find in the tune is "Lowest Spark Value for Idle Control".....

Thanks all.

It should be source 9 if everything is stable.

Fuel Source:

0 - Closed Loop
1 - Startup Open Loop
2 - Base Fuel Open Loop

Spark Source:
0 - Cranking
1 - Max Allowed/MBT
2 - Borderline Knock
3 - Torque Control
6 - Low Load
7 - Cold/Low Load
8 - Idle Control Sitting on Min
9 - Idle Control in Control

There are scalers for idle spark control. For my particular combo I needed to lower spark by a pretty good amount. It should be hitting 9 when it's all settled in.

Thanks gents, exactly what I needed to know.

I searched "idle control" in my tune and only one scalar was found, "rpm Error from Desired to Begin Idle Control". Are there any more?

What are you tuning? I'm assuming you're using SCT software. Different computer codes have different ways of dealing with the same thing.
