Hi everyone. I'm new to the forums, but have browsed for a while. I'm probably going to be selling my 93 Cobra at the beginning of next year. It's a high mile car (134k) that is modded, but I'm wanting to verify if the motor and transmission are original to the car. I don't necessarily think it's going to make a lot of difference in the value given the miles/modifications, but still would like to know before posting it. Where would I check on the motor and transmission to verify this? Thanks for the help.

The motor should have the last 6 of the vin on the flat section of the block right about where the transmission bolts to it just below where the pcv valve is. The transmission should have the last 6 of the vin on the back of the case on the right side where the tail section bolts to it. May have to have a rag and clean some of the areas to see them. I have pictures of a motor I bought and checked them before purchase, I can dig them up and post if needed.
