Posted back a month ago about upgrading my supercharger from the VMP 2.3 gen2 to the VMP 2.65R well I had it installed. My question is does the dyno results sound right car made 649hp on 93 pump gas with the gen2 blower now with the Gen3 R on E85 and new fuel system and injectors 701hp a 52hp gain what are your thoughts

701whp seems like something the Gen 2 2.3L VMP should have been able to pull off on corn...seems kinda low, but dyno numbers can vary so much...

Whipple Gen 5 3.0L time!!!!

We need to know pre and post boost numbers before weighing in. If boost is equal, and it's a stock short block, I'd say you're in the ballpark and have a pretty conservative tune. This is assuming it's the same dyno..

First dyno was on stock fuel system 93 octane Vmp 2.3 gen2 . Second dyno was with Lethals performance return fuel line system ID1050x injectors on a 3.2 pulley VMP gen3R E85 fuel . The car actually feels slower

Torque is way down on the 2nd chart. That's why it feels slower. Should be the other way around with more airflow and e85. I suspect tune is way too conservative

Would need to know the timing on both as well. I will say this I've had a lot of mustangs and boosted them all, different blower setups etc. A little blower spun on similar boost always feels quicker then a big blower on a big pulley but similar boost. I have a vmp 2.65 on my coyote car but wish vmp still made their 2.3 I have the biggest pulley on my gen3r n still make over 10 pounds.

This is typical of the Gen3R, notice the boost curve it rises with RPM. It won't hit as hard on similar boost as the 2.3. I had a 2.6 KB and at 22lbs it hit harder than the Gen3R on the same boost. The Gen3R pulls much harder through the mid to top end. Turn the boost up, i'm running 24/25lbs on mine. 3.2 pulley with a 4lb lower. It hits hard at that boost level and continues to pull. If you don't want a lower try a 3.0 upper and squeeze a couple more pounds out of it. Your pump gas numbers are also uncorrected and the E numbers are corrected. See if you can get the corrected numbers for pump gas. Then you can more accurately assess the numbers.

After you do what the guys above said and you're still now happy, you may want to check compression on the motor just to be sure. Also, maybe switch tuners. Give 04Sleeper a try.
Oh, I'm also from your neck of the woods, so let know if you need anything. I have a VMP 2.3 on mine that I plan on doing E85 soon. Maybe some friendly runs ;)

Wow perfect example of building the combo! Just look at the torque curve.
Honestly, unless you have intentions to build the motor and do cams you probably just down graded with a 6200rpm stock cam 5.4
Tell VMP to lay the wood to it now that you’re on E85. If your timing is under 20deg you’re doing it wrong!

Sh/t sorry I thought it was the 500 forum but still tell them you want a serious tune. If this is just a cruise around fun car you may want to go back to the 2.3.
IMO the reason you upgraded it to E85/Gen 3 was to be aggressive. Add boost and timing and rev to 7200 and you’ll be happy
