QA1 to Bilsteins

I bought the car with QA1 shocks and I wanted to return it to stock. I purchased the Bilsteins and when I removed the QA1s I noticed there was a spacer/washer between the lower shock mount and the lower control arm. Does that spacer go back on with the Bilstein? or was that just for the QA1?

IIRC the stock shocks don't have a spacer. I remember having to install one on my buddies car when we installed the Vikings.
