If a cat-back is too much for you right now, then consider the Y-pipe and removing the resonator (or put in a high flow res, some prefer that tone).

SuperChips can be wonderful, depending on engine code.

Try a short shifter before you buy. It's either love or hate. I personally hated it, as it made the shifter a long reach. Others love it.
Question Where do I look for number produced of my 98 svt . I just bought it. Thanks

Call 800-FORD-SVT (800-367-3788). They will ask for the last 6 of your VIN and can give you the build date and the build number as well. You can buy a build certificate with that info on it as well.

Yeah, I gave him the production numbers because it seemed that was what he was looking for. Thanks for posting that Ford Performance info (SVT is long gone) if he really wants the Build Number and/or the Build Certificate.

Welcome to the group (OP 1st post)

A family member had one, pretty cool car. I actually picked it up from the dealer new, got dark, no headlights. Pins had been folded over during assembly. Good QC, the dealer even gave it an inspection sticker. Luckily the fog lights worked, to get home.

Hey all. I'm new to the site and I'm trying to find the rear bumper grill for my 98.5 T-Red Contour SVT. Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance,
Steve

You dont even want to hear the stories i have from working on these things. They were about the single worst vehicle Ford ever produced as far as QA/QC was concerned. Engineering was also abysmal when they produced the V6+manual.
