I am surprised nobody is gearing their cars to run out to the top of 5th at the track. G force makes a 5 speed tranny specifically due to the fact 5th is 1:1, so question is, why does nobody do it in these cars? Only downside I can see is 1st would be extremely short

Well, a G-Force is a clutchless race transmission. So, the extra shift is not that big of a deal. I would be curious to see what one of these cars would be like with a crazy gear, like a 4.56. However, I think 1st would be totally useless and it would be quite a chore to row one of these down the track through the top of 5th. Plus, that 4-5 shift can be a bear.
