My favorite part of the entire post (and I'm not judging, I would have done the same) is where you're thinking to yourself... damn, 3k is a pretty solid price for the car...annnnnnd you proceed to offer 2500.

Excellent find, sometimes it is just meant to happen apparently.

LOL. I mean why not. I figured the worst thing he would do is say no. He counter offered though. WIN

Wow dude you got that for a steal. I got $5000 trade in for my 1996 Cobra with 149,000 miles late last year lol but I took great care of it. The 4.10s will be the most noticeable mod you have listed but as you said you wanted a toy, if I were you, I would go with 4.30s. I kind of wished I had when I put 4.10s in mine but they still woke the car up like crazy. And I still daily drove it for another 4 years after that with an offroad BBK X pipe and SLP Loudmouths which is also similar to the setup you're wanting. Mine was ungodly loud so I had to baby it in town lol

Oh I know that I did. I consider it my birthday present since the day I looked at it and agreed to the price (May 6th) was the day before my birthday.

Can't wait for the gear change. It's always a huge improvement when you change the gears. I'm keeping to the 4.10s though. They'll be just right for the car and its probable future of some sort of forced induction.

Suspension is supposed to arrive tomorrow. So there should be update pics by the weekend with that installed and the new wheels and tires.

Little bit of an update is that the rear windshield is being replaced tomorrow. The rear defroster connections are ripped off on both sides. Added bonus to it's replacement is that I don't have to remove the old tint that isn't cooperating.

Last of the cooling system upgrades showed up today as well so I will be working on that.

Well I sure havent been keeping up with this. Ordered a bunch more stuff. Bought a salvage 97 Cobra to part out and get parts that were better than mine. The shell and what ever I dont need will actually be going to a friend to become his project. Cant find where the damage was that wouldve totalled car so thinking its a theft recovery. Its a white and runs great. Will try ro get back on track here.

$2800 is a steal! I paid $3500 for mine and it needs a ton of work. Hell, when I bought mine people were selling salvage title Cobras not running for $4k here.
