Hit what was a big milestone for me on the build and got the entire front suspension k member out.

I will be doing a lot of cleaning and prepping for rust inhibitor and priming then coating or painting the underside and the engine bay.

Also got the Simco Gauges and Pod mounted.

Like I said, next step is cleaning and prepping the engine bay and underside to include the wheel wells. I hope to be putting this back together in 3-4 weeks.

The difference between the stock K-Member and an aftermarket one is massive, I had an MMR on on my 96. Any reason you specifically went with the Steeda one?

Yes and now that reason, like so much other shit with this build, has changed. Lol

I initially was against going coilover in the car or else I would have gone MM. Now I am waiting for my MM coilover order to arrive.

I am willing to bet you could unload that Steeda piece and go with the new BMR setup since you've decided to go with coilovers. Just saying.

I wouldn’t mind that BMR piece in Hammertone.

If you're going to do it I'd do it now as I wouldn't be surprised at a price increase in the near future. I'd also go with the taller ball joint a arms if you plant to seriously drop the car. With everything going on you may have to hold onto your steeda k member for a little while but I think you'd still be able to unload it.

I think the only thing BMR is lacking with their setup is a delrin option for the control arm bushings. I have a suspicion that the MM bushings would fit though. I love the tall ball joint option on the a arms because I've seen lowered MM setups with control arms that are not parallel with the ground.

I am sticking with the Steeda as I don’t need a tall ball joint A Arm. The Steeda has two sets of a arm mounts depending on ride height.

I will go uppers for my setup. Hopefully I won’t need Fox Length struts but we will see.

Loading the truck up to drop some stuff off to make certain I have a strong rear end...

Anyhow, here is what my rear end will be getting.
Strange 31 Spline Axles
Eaton Detroit True-Trac LSD (not the CIA LSD)
FRPP 3.55 Gears
FRPP Install Kit
Swarr Bar
11” Rear Brake Kit
Ford Racing Diff Cover w/ARP Fasteners
ARP 3” Wheel Studs
Prothane UCA Poly Bushing

My rear end has already had the axle tubes welded, Strange Billet Main Caps, and quad shock mounts deleted.

Got some more parts in and getting some more work done.

Picked up the Livernois Crankshaft Scraper/Windage Tray and Drainback Kit as some added insurance.

Got the new fan and radiator mounted together. Big improvement over the stock one.

Got a PA Performance High Torque Mini Starter.

Also picked up new front hub assemblies.

Painting some odds and ends in the car. A few clips and brackets are being painted in Black Hammer.

Well, got some garage candy. Just a 32” Smart TV to watch whatever while fooling around in the garage. I was using my iPad.

Got a MM Steering Shaft.

New AC Condenser.
IMG_4820.JPG

And my POR15 finally came in. I am hoping to have the engine bay done this weekend.

So I have more parts for the car at the house that are fun.

Shelby Mike Racing Billet Timing Arms and upgraded pins.
IMG_4602.JPG

Got the tv mounted. I feel like I may move it lower and to the left then move the SVTP banner up a bit.
IMG_4852.JPG

GT500 intercooler pump
IMG_4853.JPG

And got my King HP Rod Bearings in
IMG_4855.JPG

Since the rod bearings came in it meant we are ready. Two Teksid Blocks heading to the machine shop just to make certain we are good. By the time I was finished loading things the entire bed was full and so was the floor of the passenger side.

So parts are at the powder coater.

Timing cover and spindles are going to be Terra Gray 2; if I remember correctly.

Supercharger Tank, Coolant Tank, Pulley Bridge, Radiator Cover, and Power Steering Tank are all being done in Super Matte Black.

The Cobra R Brembos are having “BREMBO” done in Terra Gray 2 and the calipers in Penny Vein.

I was hoping to post shots of the engine bay painted today. Unfortunately, I ran out of paint. So now I wait for about two weeks. I am going to try and undercoat the car with POR15 in the meantime.
