I posted this in the New Edge forum but I wanted to ask you guys as well. I'm just curious to see if anyone has any experience using this phone holder in their car? I'm looking for a solution to hold my iPhone 6 when I'm using google maps. I just wanted to know how sturdy it was and if it was easy to remove if need be.

Thanks!

I don’t, but I've used Wilson electronics booster/cradles before and they work well but that’s a whole different ball game. I personally put my phone in the cup older and it works great.

I purchase the Ottie

It has a soft sticky base suction cup that allows it to be placed on the Dash instead of the windshield. I have mine to the top right of the instrument cluster. The phone is in the line of sight of the road without really blocking any view of the road (I just see a little less of the hood).

The mount works well. It is oddly very firm even though it is mounted on a rough surface. I don't have to extend my arm much beyond the steering wheel to interact with the phone.

Here is a picture of how it looks from the outside (my kids were playing an April Fools trick on me last year). Also goes to show I've been using it for a long time.

Thanks to you both for your replies! I'll look into it. It's tough just trying to add even a little bit of tech in these cars :-D
