Problems with brakes???

Hey guys, im obviously not a master mechanic or anything, Just noticed when braking pretty soft, i get a sqweeling sound from the passenger side. Cant tell if its front or rear. Almost sounds like a traffic cop blowing his whistle softly. Its not very loud, but when i hear it, if i brake harder, the noise stops, and it doesnt always do this either.

What can i do to check/fix/repair the problem. Anybody that could kind of walk me through how to look for the problem, please post something for me, thanks a bunch.

I had this same issue. I ended up taking the pads off the front and rear, cleaning them and rotors thoroughly with break cleaner, applying anti squeek to all pads, reassembling, and the squeeking went away. Pain in the ass...but that squeeking is really annoying. Hope this helps.

its an uneven transfer of brake pad material to the rotor. brake harder.
