Hey man sorry for the off topic question but how much weight did you save by switching to manual steering and brakes, I want to do this to my car too.

not sure yet because i dont have a scale at my house. This time around for putting the car on a diet I did a flaming river manual steering rack, manual brakes, and a meizere electric water pump. Previous race weight was 3,319 lbs. with about a half tank of gas and my fat ass weighs about 200lbs lol. i will try and have about a half tank again this saturday and find out a rough estimate of how much more weight it took off. My guess is close to 40-50lbs. but the big gain will be the hp that is no longer lost from having to turn a water pump or a power steering pump. I will no longer have an inner surpentine belt that the motor has to drive.

yep still have the rack. Rack and hydroboost have roughly 65,000 miles and the pump has roughly 6,000 miles (bought a new pump when i did the eaton swap). No leaks with the rack or hydroboost and both work great. I can have pics of the rack up by the end of this week. possibly by tonight.
