I picked up a set of take-off 2014 GT500 front/rear brakes to swap on to my '08. I'm looking for powder coating ideas for the front 6-psiton calipers and the rears. I'm may send them off to Brian Pancoast...if he gets things back on track. He did some other things a couple years ago for me that came out a lot better than the local guy. Crappy iphone pic below:

My two cents are....

First, I want to do them purple. A pretty, dark, purple. No one ever lets me do anything outside of yellow, red, or black. But not everyone likes purple.

You have red under the hood, a red would tie the rest together. We can do a pearl white. White with carbon fiber dip and red logos. I can do them to match the color of car with red logos.

Looking forward to helping you out, thanks for the return business!

I think a white base with a cf in the same color as the body would look good. Then a red logo.

Too much red might stand out a bit much. Plus everyone is red calipers

I'll have to say no to dark purple :nono: I was thinking:

Alloy metallic with red letters since that's what you did for my cam covers;

Alloy metallic with a silver cf pattern to capture the stripes and a red logo.

Silver with alloy cf pattern and red logo

Black with silver cf pattern and red letters

I have a 08 Stripe Delete Alloy and in a heartbeat I would have them powdercoated blue (similar to the Vista blue like zporta's above) with alloy lettering.

I think I am going to leave them black for now since I am going to do a few things to the interior (update to 2014, Homelink mod, steering wheel, etc).

Interested to see how your interior comes out. Have any parts yet?

'14 Black GT500 black seat covers (Recaro option) and a GT back seat. That's it so far. It's going to take a long time to find the front Recaro seats at a reasonable cost I think.

Hmm, I like the dark gold anthracite or maybe a burnt bronze idea.

I don't need my simple thread asking for opinions on COLOR hijacked. I did not ask for vendor options. Thanks.

Well, so much for the whole "leaving them black" option. I received my take-off parts from Shelby in Vegas and they are not what was advertised in the listing. The pics were not of the actual calipers I bid on and they were packed horribly. This is what showed up. My advice: Make sure Shelby sends you pics of the actual parts they are selling you and that the description is accurate.
