I've had this 99 GT for a long time, I've done all of the common mods, Mach 1 grill and chin, moved spoiler back, short antenna, 01 style hood scoop, blacked out lights, rims and lowering. So along the way I've tried to do a few mods to keep it a little different from the rest. The car Did LED's in my gauges and heater controls, tried a few different led bulbs before finally buying from superbrightleds.com, very happy with their bulbs. Used the bright white bulb to turn my gauges from the factory green to a nice mellow blue. Also got sick of only having dome lights in the rear view mirror. The car was always so dark at night. I added LED bulbs under the dash, the bulbs are tied into the factory dome lights and only come on with the doors and with the factory switch. The car is so much brighter at night now. Not incredibly unique, but I swapped out the dual single din dash bezel for the newer double din style. Not a huge job, but there was some cutting of bracing and a bit of fab work to mount the double din. I still need to buy blanks for the unused buttons. With the new screen I installed a back up camera. I got a flush mount style camera and fit it into the factory key hole. Nobody has ever noticed the key hole is gone and the camera is in its place. Painted the compartment around the license plate flat black, That area always had to much orange peel, so i sanded it smooth and flat blacked it. Also painted the grill pony flat black. I bought some cheap mustang decals for my brakes years ago, I never expected a sticker to hold up to the heat and cleaning, but years later they still look brand new. Kind of corny, just doing what i can to make my GT brakes look a little better. Changed out the huge chrome 35th anniv fender badges for something a bit more subtle and a bit more black. Did both fenders and the trunk badge. 05 style shift knob, had to cut a bit off the bottom, was too tall, even with the Hurst base.
