Very nice! If you're going to keep it for a while...contact Marty at Mo's Speed Shop https://www.mosspeedshop.com/
Ask him for an 87 tune and set the shift firmness at "4". My buddy did this to his TC and it transformed the car. Sharp throttle response and shift timing.
It will shift at 6000rpm WOT, if that's a little too high for your tastes, he can set it lower. (I had him set it at 5800 on my Crown Vic)
You can add a cheap junkyard police interceptor intake.(the bigger MAF requires a tune anyway) Its only worth about 10 crank HP, so probably not really needed.

I'm now hooked at researching Caprice PPVs. I'd bet that Mo's probably tunes the L77 engines and transmissions too.

Best one out of the bunch. Even if it’s an auto, but that can be fixed.

I really want to ditch that C4. I don't think the wife would approve. But she has only drove it a couple times since we bought it...

Seeing your name reminded me that I got you a present on Sunday. Lol I was at an all Ford show and this beauty reminded me of you.

Noice. I appreciate that. That one has, definitely, got some cosmetic upgrades. And looks like it has the VMP 500 horse kit.

I suspected that would be the case when you were about to buy it. Well sounds like it’s your fastback, manual swap it.
