Thanks! Original owner, a tad under 6,900 miles. It still brings a smile to my face just looking at it.
Wow, 6,900 miles. That's like 500 miles a year. With your climate there, how do you resist driving it more?

What are your plans for the SHO?
The car was basically left outside its entire life so new interior is a must. The previous own did some autocross with it so its got a ton of new suspension parts. Its a fun little car and I'll just throw it into the rotation of which car I decide to drive to work.

Be sure to post a thread when the interior is restored. I’d love to see how it looks at that point. How’s the exterior paint?

My favorite toys are out of hibernation. With the help of several, including @Steve@RevanRacing, Colo Spgs-based Peterson Auto Care, and Denver-based Colorado Detail, car season prep is coming along nicely.

Damn that thing is BLACK. Why did you have to replace the firewall blanket?
I never thought she could be "too black and glossy," but taking pics of her is really difficult, especially if I want to capture the stripes! (First-world "problem," I know.)

During the ~8 months she was at the body shop (for paint), the old lead-acid battery died. The shop dutifully charged it, repeatedly, and it off-gassed, a LOT. That ruined the blanket behind the battery, but it wasn't apparent until several months of me washing and detailing her last summer. There was no salvaging it.

Then, came the challenge of finding the replacement part, which was no small feat. Every site is happy to sell the INTERIOR insulation, but I couldn't find the UNDER-HOOD piece to save my soul. Thankfully, one of my high school "brothers from another mother" is an auto parts guru - he found what I needed last fall. It's, now, in and looks great.

The new battery is an Odyssey AGM, so I'll never have the off-gassing issue again.

@Norton
Wow, your car looks amazing. I need to have mine fully prep'ed and ceramic coated as well. (I've been saying this for years now. LOL)
