I love the valve covers but they’re a pain in my ass to clean
Yea, same with the supercharger housing. Honestly, any of the porous aluminum bracketry is that way. I might look into getting a set ceramic or clear coated to make them easier to clean.

The last time I cleaned under there, I had a bucket of warm soapy water with both a hard and soft bristle brush, just scrubbing away. And it still wasn't 100%, IMO.

Yes indeed!! We're currently hibernating in the Midwest, hopefully I can have her back out on the road by March/April.
Yes, spring can't get here soon enough!

Though last year we got lucky with some crazy warm weather in February!

It got to the 70s here in Michigan so I took her out and was cruising Woodward in February!

I believe this was the intake system a guy put together for a TX Mile car. For some reason I'm thinking the car was based in NJ and had a fairly young guy building it that I met at the MIR NMRA race one or two years before it was converted from stock into this thing. It should be a 2013 also with 5.8L Trinity engine. This car disappeared with no results of how it ran from what I can remember. It probably got wadded up somewhere on the street and everyone involved has kept quiet about it

I know Shawn Fischer did something similar to this with a Ford GT a number of years ago for a guy in NJ, he had a ton of time getting the tuning with MoTeC ECU correct. You have to convert the car from a MAS sensor in the intake piping to a atmospheric pressure sensor under the hood that correlates with a boost/vacuum sensor, along with a lower manifold intake air temperature sensor and exhaust oxygen sensors to determine air flow into the engine and how rich or lean it is. Plus you have to synchronize the opening percentages of both throttle bodies for each to open the same amount correctly.

If you want to get really serious about intake air with a 4.9L KB and have a way to control boost with a wastegate, along with a large reduction in intake air temperatures due to isolating the coolant system from the intake manifold here you go. Unfortunately I don't know how to copy the video from Facebook and post it, so I have to post the link to Facebook.......I'm not a Facebook fan LOL

That sounds like it might be something feasible on the S650 with it's dual throttle bodies from the factory. Or, at least, the tuning is semi-built-in from Ford.

I did an image search on the setup above, looks like it was built in 2018 by Kinetic Motorsports.
Yeah I was going to say that I remembered later today that Kinetik built this car. Also I remembered the 2013 I was thinking about with the guy from NJ that I met at MIR may have never finished that car or something bad happened to the car.

How about this one. I had a friend that is in FL take the picture of this car and send it to me asking how the supercharger caught the car on far. I believe this is a L & M Engine that was stroked to a 6.2L that failed at the TX Mile a number of years ago. The rods blew out the bottom and dumped the oil on the headers causing the fire. I don’t know if this was a good thing or not but the fire at least burnt the oil off instead of sending it under the tires
