O.K. Guys, let's see who guesses closest on the RWHP/TQ numbers on this setup (see sig).

The 48 is right 15% of 320. But the 278hp should be 272hp

From your dyno, it looks like you picked up 27rwhp or (27/.85) 31.7hp. Thats more than the 26hp that I gave you for the mods. That gives you about 351.7hp

It also looks like you got the full amount of hp out of your mods. Chip (10-15hp) I gave you 13hp. UDPs (8-10hp) I gave you 8hp. K&N (2-4%) I gave you 5hp, less than 2% of 320(6.4hp).

I was using 10% drivetrain loss, I must of fat fingered it on the 318 figure somewhere, that's only 8% loss.

Seriously..... I was really weirded out by this graph the more I've studied it. As you can see, I first hit 299hp waaaay early (5000 rpm ?...WTF), then a 50 hp "hiccup", then back up to 299 @ 6100.... high rpm fuel starvation ??
Why ??

Not to mention that the graph looks like I'm measuring an earthquake, not an power curve !:??:

We thought it might be the C&L, so I swapped in a stock MAF/ filter and pulled again. Although the curves did smooth out somewhat, I lost about 15 rwhp........ so I put it back on !

DiabloChip ?? :shrug: I dunno...... it has a factory code burn, no mods. I was told that the program was O.K. as is with the MAF & U/D pulleys, but I'm starting to wonder now....... hmmmmm.

Looks like there is some detonation above 5-6K... I would check the chip settings in regards to your timing... May want to back it down a tad for every day driving

The curve dive you notice at 5K is consistent with all 01 Cobra's due the cam profile. I am still wondering why this is, could be something with the grinds between the four cams (1 set profiled for lower rpms the second for upper)

My 01 has a very similiar curve but does not pick up as much on the second curve, no mods yet.

Hello all!

Got my dyno on the 3rd. My car must have been weak at stock or something of mine is causing a loss of power. But my graph is very smooth and does not show the hp drop either, so I am not sure. :??: I am going to have my chip adjusted with the newest program and going to a different dyno. Hopefully I can find some lost power. Anyone think with my mods that I should have been higher? www.cobrajg.com/dyno.jpg

Didn't get to go, i work in the medical field and was put on call at the last minute for the weekend. The dyno is 1hr away. I will be out of town this weekend so Iam making plans to go the following weekend.
