Has anyone done any testing with ported eatons running the stock pulley? There's plenty of people doing eaton swaps, and I was wondering if there were any IAT2 drops with the port at the lower boost pressure.

I'm pretty sure I read that on your typical pullied eaton, a full port will drop temperatures and potentially 1-2psi.

First, the answer is yes, ports will lower boost and IAT2's if your pulley combo stays the same.

I talked to Posi (Brian) about this a few months back. The problem, he thinks, with porting an Eaton with a stock pulley would be the loss in torque. He knew of no one that took this route and I've yet to see it done.

The stock setup is perfectly cool even on the open track. You could run a port with one of the "larger" pulleys, like a 3.1" and have similar, if not identical, IAT2's as the stock setup, but with extra power and torque to boot.

BlackVenom99, Your in luck, I'm getting ready to do the same swap that you described in the next few weeks, and I will have the datalogs to show the before and after gains. As of right now I have the datalogs for MY 03 Cobra which is completley stock except for a Steeda CAI and a MagnaFlow Cat-Back which I dynoed and datalogged this past Wed. But also think of this, by porting the Eaton, you are moving more volume of air over the IC and will drop IAT's a few degree's and will gain a few HP buy the ECU being able to run more timing. I hope to have all of the datalog's and graph's in the next few weeks, deff looking forward to this.
