Rebuilt the rearend on my 13 today and had a good day. The front pinion bearing was bad. I had ordered the complete bearing and seal kit from LMR. Gears still looked good. It’s back together and running great again.

Drove it quite a bit this evening and it sounds great.

How many miles? I swear I have a gear whine on mine but only 11K orig miles. Hard to tell since I have rear seat delete and only a fabric covered cardboard over opening, so it may just be normal sound, not being insulated if rear seats were in.
