PHX Pool Owners, Question on Plants

Hey I was just getting ready to get my back yard landscaped and I need some ideas on trees that wont shed garbage into the pool. I have a corner about 5'x 5' next to the pool and don't want a lot of garbage floating around in there.

Suggestions?

I've seen a billet aluminum palm tree with diamond plate leaves...very low maintenance. :beer:

I hear yah. I was thinking blue fan palm but they seem to like to shed all sorts of crap.
