True and true. Speedworld sounds hopelessly done. Firebird might survive. Word on the street is that the indians were looking for a new lessor or are considering running it themselves.

I can't picture a 4 million person city not having a single dragstrip.

It's very hopeful that firebird will reopen after the current owner closes it. Bonduraunt Racing School has announced that they are staying open. I can't see where the Tribe will allow the school to stay open and not have plans to reopen a facility that brings in millions for the local economy every year. The president of the NHRA released a statement saying the the NHRA was in talks with the tribe and that there hopeful that the venue will be on the schedule for 2014. I just don't think they will say anything officially until the old owner is out.
