If you do a lot of work on your car and you don't have a lift this is the mod for you. I got stick of working on jackstands, rhino ramps, and bothering my friends to use their lift so I made my own. This should make installing mods a lot easier! It cost around 250 bucks in materials at home depot and 5 hours to make if you are handy with tools.

Damn I hear ya Handy Smurf!

I thought only us from down here in the south did shit like that.

That is cool, can you pull the ramps away form it. It would make for a good anti theft system lol

Every time I ask a friend to use their lift I always get rushed. I hate being rushed. I have to remove my tranny again to replace the TOB and TOB retainer, mcleod blow proff bell housing, torque arm, pan hard bar, lcas, sub frame connectors, apten cooling mod, and a bunch of other crap. I just want to take my time installing everyting and not be rushed. This is my solution.

Yup! I made the ramps so they could be removed and easily stored under my porch (a 1/2 bolt connect the ramps to the main supports). I never though about it as an anti theft system though. Good thinking!

Looks good, but I'm not sure I'd want to get under that. 4,000lbs coming down is no joke.

That's the only thing I hate about Florida. I have ons of family down there and a few of them live in "gated communties" where you have to "follow rules". I hate folowing rules especially when it's my damn house.

Good luck with doing a break job. lol

It's a snap. You jack up the car a little bit and I have a few 4x4s that run across and rests on the sub frame connectors. Besides, when I do brake work I just jack it up and sit on the ground. I have a lot of work to do now and coming up (k member + a ams + coilovers) that require you to get under it.

How wide are those ramps? I have a morbid fear of driving up narrow ramps.

now you just need a weight bench and a pile of 40oz's in the front yard, and you're all set.

LMAO!!!!! :burn:

That is actually a pretty good idea. Doesnt look like the easiest thing to get under though :??:

I would probably be too scared to get under that thing though. My buddy had his GT on these huge brick looking things ( think they are called cinder blocks?) and he was replacing his tranny. (Ghetto fabulous jackstands) The rear blocks cracked and broke in half. He is fine, but it scared the crap out of him. I'll stick to the hard and safe way though lol.

Be careful man.

They are made up of 2x10s so 10 inches wide.
