I currently have a set of Durabrite Alcoas mounted, and do not really like the chrome look they have.
I was thinking about having a shop nearby custom paint the wheels (they do a good job, work on porsches) to a matte black, however I am exploring alternative finishes.
Would painting several layers of tinted darker gloss or semigloss clearcoat create a darker wheel with a bit of the durabrite showing through underneath? Has anyone ever come across someone doing this to their wheel?
