I don't know which is worse the newspaper publishing the information or the state of New York requiring a permit and then making the owners information available to the public, why?

White Plains newspaper The Journal- News, a Gannett publication, has published the full name and address of every licensed pistol permit holder in three New York counties. I don’t know whether the Journal’s publisher Janet Hasson is a permit holder herself, but here’s how to find her to ask:

Janet Hasson, 3 Gate House Lane, Mamaroneck, NY 10534.

Phone number: (248) 594-2197; you might also try (914) 525-1923, but the area code is just a guess on the assumption that this number is a land line.

Here’s a photo showing her Mamaroneck house – interior shots are on Zillow:

I hope there are many lawsuits against this newspaper.

As would I but on what legal grounds? Would the names of CCW holders be considered public record or something to that effect? Regardless, this jackweed deserves all the fallout that comes her way.

well I guess people could go to their homes but then you already know you are 100% likely to get shot.

Thank goodness I don't live in either county and hopefully nobody does this if I am able to get my paperwork put through

Edit: I do know a few of those people on those maps though

if I were a criminal I'd take this list as a "do not attack" list, knowing that they're armed. I'd look for the unarmed citizens.

EXACTLY!!!

REMEMBER......keep in mind this has two parts to it.

First is the dumbed down, brainwashed segment of our society that actually believes that this is useful information that makes them safer (complete idiots).

Second is the government/mainstream media who's purpose, in this case, is to vilify gun owners and create a social divide amongst US citizens. It wouldn't surprise me if we eventually see a website that tracks people who handed their weapons in....effectively retracting their presence on this list and hoping to cleanse their tainted reputations. Mark my words!!!!

If I were a crook, I would see this list as very helpful. Now I would know which doors could be kicked in without any risk to me or any of my rape and murder helpers. Very bright idea, only a brain dead lib could be so stupid.

The rate guns have been flying off the shelf lately you would think almost everyone is armed hahaha. Except for the uneducated people who think guns are bad. I waited online at my local shop today for 25 mintues just to grab a few boxes of ammo. I have never seen gun stores this busy.

Home invasion is a fairly rare crime down South. The crook knows that it is a very high probility that more than one member of the household can and will shoot holes through both sides of their ass. Most police reports will be along the; nice pattern and good choice of caliper.

How do you feel about having your full name and address posted all over the internet by some NY liberal Rag? I believe they are inviting people to attack you.

http://www.lohud.com/interactive/ar...Where-gun-permits-your-neighborhood-?gcheck=1

Like one of the comments I saw on another blog....Should just sew a Yellow star of David to all your cloths.

ridiculous. :nonono:

here in Tennessee there is a paper in Memphis that publishes the full name, city and state and expiration date of permits but not the address.

anyone can walk into the Dept if Safety and obtain the records for a fee.

Personally i dont think its anyones business.

Yep, and that has been one of the major criticisms of the newspaper publishing the addresses.

But a criminal might watch your home until you leave with the intent of stealing guns. The paper posting that could make gun owners a target and put more stolen guns on the street. Posting up the names and addresses of the news paper people is no risk to them or their property.
