Okay so about a month ago I took my car in for smog and I am currently running an E85 Tune. Like a lot of people on these forums, long story short I didn't pass. both my Oxygen Senor & Oxygen Sensor Heater read Not Ready. So where does any car enthusiast go when they need car information? The internet. Every single source I found never really solved the issue for me, for example "put miles on it," "45 mph drive cycle," etc. Which is understandable because all cars are different. However several threads I've read said to return the car to stock. That is something I could do considering I have stock CATS, stock Headers, and stock Manifold. But not everyone is capable of doing that without possibly running lean. Obviously you'd have to replace aftermarket with stock parts, which is more time consuming than reading this post.

So for guys who don't want to return to stock and want their vehicle to pass smog. Do one simple thing.... Contact your tuning company. That simple. I mean think about it. We've spent all of this money to manipulate our cars to put a bus on GT350's with 3 or 4 mods and some fuel and we wouldn't think we could make an adjustment to solve that problem? Now I'm going make this clear; "RESULTS MAY VERY," but if you have a tune on your vehicle contact the tuning company and see if they can make adjustments. Saves you time and money. Worked or me. Oh and below is exactly what my Tune specialist for the last two years said to me. Good Luck!

"Hi Jeremy, Shawn here from Bama Performance.

I've made some changes here to your tune which should help with monitor readiness. If you still get a not readiness here please let me know. It may be that the fuel burning so cool is not heating the O2s properly for readiness. Put some miles on this tune and let me know if it should give you any further issue.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to respond to this email. Have a great day!

Thanks for your input. I am currently having this issue on my 2013 GT. I am selling the car in CA and the car is state reffed (from the previous owner; sigh) so I was forced to put the stock headers, cats, and H pipe back on. I had a 91-93 Lund tune on it with the longtubes and xpipe, but I just loaded the stock tune after I put the stock parts on. I have been doing drive cycles everyday and got most of the monitors cleared, but there are 4 that just won't clear. Fuel, CAT, O2, and HO2. I've probably done about 250 miles so far on the stock tune. Any input on how to clear these last 4?

I haven’t had problems with those sensors yet. I personally would contact Lund if you haven’t already. They should be able to clear those with a revision. I’m not sure about their revision policy, but i’m sure they wouldn’t have any problems getting you set up. Also Ford dealers would likely be able to solve that problem with a re-flash also. Especially if you’re currently on the stock tune. Hope that helps!

Yeah, Lund was really good communicating with me, but they cannot give me a revision for the stock tune. I think I will take it to the Ford dealer like you said. Hopefully they are open during the apocalypse.
