One year without a harmonic balancer

Hello everyone, a buddy of mine sold me his kit which included a 6 pound pulley, tuner and maf. As we were taking off the pulley we noticed he was been driving without a harmonic balancer, the mechanic installed it for him and I guess the mechanic took it off, hes been on a 6 pound pulley with out a harmonic balancer for about a year. Any thoughts ? Could have there been damage? It was his daily aswell

Maybe it's not the balancer I'm talking about? Another metal piece that surrounds the pulley

The stock pulley is huge... It's probably what your thinking
