Hey guys I just picked up a 97 Cobra and it didn't come with a manual. I was wondering what type of oil I should run in it. I usually stick with the Motorcraft oils but wasn't sure on the viscosity.

Also if anyone knows what a motorcraft oil filter PN is that would be great.

Thanks,
Nate

Since you are posting in this forum, you are going to get recommendations to run either Royal Purple or Amsoil, although for good reason, as they are the best on the market. As far as capacity, 6.5 to 7 quarts is the normal fill for your Cobra. If you want to stick with Motorcraft, 5w-30 is probably your best bet.

And FL-820 is the motorcraft oil filter part number, although once again, the Amsoil and Royal Purple filters are the best; I'm sure the guys will chime in soon enough.
