Okay Everyone, When it rains it pours. I had a non-SVTP member buy 3 cars off me last week (OW, CO and Bullitt). I package all 3 cars up and ship them off via UPS on Wednesday. Well, Thursday afternoon I get a call from UPS saying the package was damaged at the processing warehouse and sent back to the store. I was asked to come and look at the package. I go to UPS and see the box was severely damaged and taped up from the warehouse incident. The UPS store manager shows me the box and all the packing material inside is missing (packing peanuts) and 1 car is missing. Before shipping I wrapped the cars in tissue paper and then wrapped them in bubble wrap before placing them in the box with the packing peanuts. There is no way you could tell which car was which. So, I'm assuming when the box busted open during processing the OW car just happened to be the one next to the damage and feel out and became separated from the package. UPS store manager took pictures and sent them to a supervisor at the warehouse and asked if they could locate the OW car. I was at work Friday and UPS did NOT call me. So, I'm assuming the OW is lost or someone opened the bubble wrap and decided they liked it and wanted it. Or maybe I need to keep an eye on ebay or offer up to see if someone is trying to sell it. Needless to say I was VERY pissed. Then I wake up Saturday morning to an active shooter situation here in El Paso and realize there are WAY more important things in life than a lost diecast car...……… Thank you to all who have offered prayers, support or positive action during this difficult time here. Anyway, here are the pictures of the CO and Bullitt. They are NOT damaged and will be shipped out to the owner today. UPS will cover the loss of the OW, but not at what is cost me to build. Also, since the package only went to the processing warehouse and back UPS will reimburse me for shipping.
