Hello Everyone,

Been off for a few days and was able to get the SY Vert completed. Here are the build pictures.

Here is the polishing process:

Here you can clearly see the orange peel

Sanded with 2000 and then 3000 grit

After stage 1 and 2 polishing

Okay, for those of you keeping up with this thread @Revvv asked about a replica of his MG Vert. I found a car in my supply/collection that will replicate his car nicely.

Here is what I'm starting with:

Started the paint process (Disclaimer: in the pictures of the car in base coat MG it looks like it has dust on it or particles of something. That's actually the reflection of the metallic in the base coat of the paint).

I'm curious to know where you found a GT with the scoops and spoiler.

Ancient Chinese Secret Revvv LMAO! J/K.......

I found 2 of these cars years ago on Ebay. They are a VERY limited run by Maisto. I seen them and got into a bidding war with someone, but I ended up the winner (obviously).

I found those cars interesting because they had those particular scoops and that particular spoiler. I originally purchased the cars with the intent of making a replica of my 380R Roush. The problem is on these cars the front bumper is metal and part of the body. So, I cannot remove it and replace it with another bumper that might look closer to my Roush. So, they just sat in the box until I got your request.

I'm pretty sure you accepted a challenge more than a request.

LOL, could be. Think you might be surprised how this gets pulled off :D.........
Seeing the roof come off made the convertible chop easier. In fact, with a spare New Edge convertible. No cutting is required. Just a roof swap. I didn't realize the top of the car would separate. I've never considered taking any of them apart.

You have my attention.
