[QUOTE="JoeNashville, post: 2612452, member: 14602"] I saw this today on the way home. The guy was out of his cruiser and literally stepped out into the lane of traffic holding up his hand and motioning for the guy to pull over. The car had to lock his brakes up to avoid hitting him and almost caused a rear-ender, all of this occurred at highway speeds. The local city law enforcement (of which this guy was a part) was doing heavy LIDAR patrol on 440 in Nashville today, many got citations. Question: Is there any good reason for a LEO to physically step out into the roadway to stop a car and have them pull over??? Mind you, this was on the INTERSTATE and he almost caused a motorist to have an accident. EDIT: there was a story in the local newspaper with photo evidence of what happened. Here is the picture. Notice where the officer is standing in the right lane. This is EXACTLY what I saw last week. We're talking dude is standing in the road with oncoming traffic in HIS LANE. Nuts.
