Just finished reading the October 5.0 GT500 modification article about Evolution Performance. Very good read. It is amazing the extra power being wrung out of this engine! 50 WHP from just a tune. 100 WHP from just CAI, TB, and tune.

Anyway find the mag and read it, in the mean time here is the Mod/Chart:

You can get those parts from:

Van @ Revan racing

Evolution Performance (who is featured in the article)

Or Lethal performance

All use John Lund to tune- and I have had great experience with Van. Have not had an opportunity to work with the others yet.

Evo lists their top packages with the monoblade. Did the article say which TB they used. I really can't wait to see what these motors will do with a ported blower or new inlet.

Nice find! Let's see if I hit 733 RWHP with my mods in a couple weeks. Van mailed them and their on the way :) That would be sick!! Headers might not be worth it for 20 HP. I was assuming 30-40 HP.

they always come out ahead like that...you just never look at the binding. Exhaust and lower pulley is the difference.

Regarding the tune. I'm thinking factory tune is balancing act between power and the EPA folks looking out for our greater societal goodness via MPG estimates. So tune simplified pumps more gas thru injectors and to heck with MPG.
Yes it plays with timing too.
Am I mostly right or wrong?
Would 6th gear cruising at 70 be much different in MPG ?
