Surprised there isn’t one yet, all my coworkers and family go from zero to full blown panicked… it’s laughable.

Anyways I say it’s just for photo ops and political grandstanding pre election.

So I’m in food.

I was wrong in an earlier thread.

A shit ton of our ingredients are shipped in.

My company in Texas alone supplies the large majority of hospitals in Houston, colleges, all the airports, erc

This could cripple a lot of things

Gonna be interesting to see how the price of TP could go up again lmao
We were laughing about that a couple days ago when we first heard about it. She was saying all the bread was gone from the grocery. People are absolute morons.

I know it’s serious to those affected, but I just keep thinking

“TOMMY USED TO WORK ON THE DOCK… unions been on strike… he’s down on his luck”
Now for words from the beginning of a much better song than some Jersey guys.

The driver of the truck is reported to be uninjured
The identities of both men are being withheld by local police
County legislatures today are expected to rally
To the aid of striking longshoremen
In hopes of ending the nine-month deadlock...

I remember being in Hawaii when there was a Longshoremen strike on the west coast. The news was showing the empty shelves in local grocery stores, then cut to a commissary (military grocery store) representative…shows the shelves completely stocked and how the Air Force was flying in supplies/groceries that the locals can’t get. Was a huge wtf moment.

I filled up the cars with gas this weekend.
Don't know if that is being smart or paranoid.
Everything else is in good shape for some extended ****ery.
It will be interesting to see how long this goes on and what impact it is going to have up here in Maine.
