Original train bridge
Yep, pretty much every night around 7:30, again around 1:00AM, and sometimes early morning (6:30AMish).Lots of deer tracks there Bob.
You ever see them out there?
Yeah, looks narrow.Original train bridge
One of the paintings we bought and love is an aerial shot of these bridges. It’s almost an all Caribbean blue picture with the two bridges.Yeah, looks narrow.
Yes it runs parallel to the current bridge. 1935 after a hurricane, was converted from rail, to cars, indeed narrow. A section of it they blew up in the movie True Lies.Is that part of the old bridge/road?
Yeah, I remember that. I haven’t been down there in 30 years. Ever been over the old skyway bridge in Tampa?Yes it runs parallel to the current bridge. 1935 after a hurricane, was converted from rail, to cars, indeed narrow. A section of it they blew up in the movie True Lies.

Every once in a while I see deer across the street, one time they were in my front yard eating some bushes. The houses across from me butt against the woods.Yep, pretty much every night around 7:30, again around 1:00AM, and sometimes early morning (6:30AMish).
We get deer here all the time. A couple days ago three coyotes came through my back property. Archer was trippin'. He gets angry then takes it out on his stuffed toys lol.Every once in a while I see deer across the street, one time they were in my front yard eating some bushes. I used to see coyotes, but haven't in a while.
The old one. It was metal grates. The original that collapsed in 1980? Or the current? If the current I think I have.
Sounds like a traditional drawbridge. Was reading about the original, terrible accident, a freighter ship hit it and a large section fell. 35 people died. Reminder of the Key bridge accident in Baltimore. The old one. It was metal grates.
Wasn't a draw bridge, high enough for the freighters. Yeah, bad. It was a scary ass bridge to drive over.Sounds like a traditional drawbridge.
Speaking of the old overseas highway. As noted it was a RR bridge converted to auto. Now some of the sections were girder bridges. Sooo the girders being too narrow the ran the road up over the top.View attachment 1912213
Here’s my contribution to this tread.
Bonus points if anyone knows the given Name of this tree without looking it up on the interwebz.
Understood not a draw bridge, but many draw bridges have the grate steel decks. I can see especially at that height, how the grate deck would be very scary....Wasn't a draw bridge, high enough for the freighters. Yeah, bad. It was a scary ass bridge to drive over.
Funny you mention you haven't seen coyotes in a while. Same here. 5-10 years ago it was common to see them a few times each year, even crossing our property. But I haven't seen one in at least a couple of years. Maybe the loss of woodland here has pushed them out.Every once in a while I see deer across the street, one time they were in my front yard eating some bushes. Yeah, it's weird. I mean, there's plenty of food,...squirrels, deer, bunnies, turkeys.Funny you mention you haven't seen coyotes in a while. It's time I guess. I love all the pumpkins.
