I’ve been in the process of turboing my 2v for about the past 2 years.. got into diesels and just now coming back to the car. It’s been about 4 months since I last moved the car and I finally made time to pull the pan and weld the oil return in. Redid my filter relocation while i was at it. Got everything back together, add oil, and go to prime the turbo feed.. nothing. Searched online, saw posts saying the starter won’t spin fast enough to pump it through.. start the car still nothing. No reading on the dash dummy gauge either. So I loosen the oil filter and it had filled, but still no life from the dash gauge. Found other posts about using a garden sprayer to prime the pump so I pumped all 6qts though the feed port, added some oil to the turbo, and capped the feed line on the filter housing to ensure no pressure leaks and still nothing from the gauge. So after all of this I assume the sender is bad.. replaced that, no luck.. has to be the gauge.. Ground out the sender wire and the gauge works. Has anyone experience this before?. I’ve ran it maybe 5mins trying to figure it out and the engine doesn’t sound like it’s starving for oil. Any help would be appreciated.
