Sometimes, well, all the time, we can use a dose of perspective. I am fortunate enough that my family has not been immediately impacted by Covid and the policies that have sprung from it. But the impact is undeniable. Huge sectors of the economy, and the *people* that drive it, have been screwed. Many people out there, and in here, have had the rug pulled out from under them. What's your story, and how are you coping?

Again it's all up to the Dementia patient in chief and if he wants his stupid 6 week soon to be 6 months oh scratch that lets make it permanent lock down. As if it happens then both dealerships I work for will fall into this all because chicken littles are running the show.

I work in the auto industry and business has actually went up. I sold my share of the business I owned earlier this year to my business partner. We had a small drop in sales but recovered. I don't see the economy recovering until 2022 or 2023.

Working part time and am owed 8 weeks of unemployment. Thankfully my ass is resourceful and had a stash of cash to carry my expenses. went back to school full time to get into a better position in life. Things aren’t as good as they were, but it has been a whole lot worse before

I have been lucky. my company is considered essential so I haven't had to worry too much. kids are all working essential jobs as well. so all in all we are doing ok. most of the company is working from home but the factory is still manned 24x7x364 Engineers are working a mix between home and office. due to the nature of my work I am at work 5 days a week except occasionally

Ive been fortunate and have been working through all of covid. Im very thankful that i have not been affected like some of my close friends and family have been. Like stated already i think 2021 will also be a rough year for most. I hope all those that have been affected are doing well and pull through this shit show.

Most of the people I know have been unaffected with work related stuff. My wife and I have been able to work the whole time. Some of it from home due to child care shutting down.

My wife and I were well prepared financially so we were able to do extremely well during the pandemic with buying and selling a house . The extra time at home did my woodworking business some good too as I was able to knock out more projects for profit.

It’s been good to me in my industry. Made more this year than I have in 8 years. Been a major pain in ass though.
Same here, but I keep asking myself everyday if it is worth the headache. I'm working way more hours to accomplish the same amount of work, but I'm scared to turn down work.

Father in law had one foot in the grave and Covid kicked him in. Decided to add on a mother in law suite to the house and wife and I are having "spirited" discussions on layout and trying to keep cost reasonable.

I'm one of the lucky ones. I'm civil service so I've been working the whole time. The only down side was we didn't get the planned overtime this year. I had a plan to pay off a lot of debt with that overtime. The wife works for an accountant so she was working a lot because of all the small business loans they had to process. We did manage upgrade to a bigger house.

All my friends are in government or essential jobs. So they've doing decent too.

Been absolutely amazing for my Personal Training business due to gyms closing.

Wasnt planned that way at all but i literally have all the top shelf gym equipment from working for a massive corporate gym years ago and getting a steal (damn near free) when they replaced everything with the latest and greatest.

My hourly rates are through the roof and i still cant find room to add more clients unless i hire more Trainers. We’ll see how it all shakes out on that front.

Im absolutely blessed.

I'm hurting in a relative term. I was laid off. I went back to school. So I collect my navy pension, disability (80%) and housing allowance from the gi. I'm making about $1000 a month less than I was.

I am lucky since I am not only essential but also have a government job. I accepted a new job offer that got me an $8 an hour raise and far better benefits than I ever imagined.

Should I actually come down with covid I would still be able to work as long as physically able quarantined at my job site. Basically unless I can't show up to work I am still working so I'll never be impacted by this BS.

I have friends who have had to take large pay cuts and are not doing all that well. I genuinely feel bad for them. These same people are scraping by at the moment and congress is busy giving money to foreign countries.

That sucks but at least you have your Navy pension. A lot of people as completely ass out right now and congress doesn't give a ****.
