Went to the track tonight and am a little dissapointed. It was 64 degrees and 79% humidity. I think it was more humid tonight than the last time I ran but not sure.

Stock I only ran it once. 1,000 miles
60ft.......2.167
1/8........8.664
mph......84.81
1/4.......13.219
mph......107.77

Tonight my best run was. 2,900 miles
60ft.......2.190
1/8........8.787
mph......84.33
1/4........13.38
mph......108.66

So far I have a Magnaflow catback and a densecharger. I was sure I would run high 12's.

I never felt any SOTP gain from either mod. In fact, I felt a loss down low with the catback.

Anyone with my setup have power gains? Dyno or track results?

Did you run your car tonight at Infineon, the old Sears Point? I was going to run tonight but I thought it might start to sprinkle. I guess the weather held out for you though. The season is about to end and I want to change my clutch out as it is too stiff and shudders when I take off.
I have a Magnaflow X-pipe with cats, FR500 catback, and a K&N conical filter. Hopefully a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch soon.
Maybe I'll see you next season and we can run 12's at the same time.

Yes; I was at Infineon. Seems like people were running a little slow in general.

Next Wednesday is the last day of the season. I bet its going to be crowded!

I have Magnaflow x-pipe and cat-back, but no dyno or track runs. Butt-o-meter says I picked up some and my tires break loose from a roll easier now too.

You'll get there! The IRS is a little tricky! I've had lots of practice with my 01. Just Practice, you'll be in the 12's all day long!

I have the Magnaflow catbacks and a 9' K&N filter and modified air intake. That's it for the power mods.
My hp and tq are both way above stock, so you might want to look into the Densecharger. Only speculation on this, but I don't see much other reason.
And I could definitely feel the difference with the cat back system!

Forced03, it will run in the 12's for sure! The only way to really know whats going on is to put that bad boy on the dyno and get some real numbers out of it!! Good luck and practice--practice

Yes, I need more practice!!! I figured that even with my bad driving I would hit 12.9 after the intake and catback. My 60' (2.190) isn't that bad or is it?

I think there is more power to be found in a new x or h pipe with high flow cats. I think that even with what you got now you should make 12s but this car is very hard to launch with the IRS and the skinny 275 F1s

Well, it depends on whether you are talking about an IRS car or not. For a solid-axle, it's REALLY bad (1.8 or so is pretty good). For our cars, it's about average. People who can cut 1.8's and lower in our cars are blessed.

YEAH

iT DOES TAKE PRACTICE. I was sure my car couldnt do 12s and now trhee of my last five runs were 12s. 12.9 12.9 and 12.7 @ 110

I found that if you really baby it off the line...like you would from a traffic light and then really get on it you run a 12 and a 2.1 60 foot

I dont drop the clutch at all now and I dont power shift but I dont totally get off the gas either between shifts.

Sears Point is generally slower than Sacramento. I cut 13.0's at Sac vs 13.3's-13.4's at Sears Point. A bunch of stang guys are going to be at Sacramento on the 16th, if the rain holds off. 10am-3pm. That track hooks (saw an '03 go 12.6 stock there) :coolman:

That is exactly how I ran this past weekend. Easy off the line and then nail it. I had a 2.10 60' and ran a 12.65 @ 113.5.
"You Can Do It" just keep trying.

12.6 is great. Were you power shifting? I have not been able to get my mph above 110.6 but i am not really power shifting not keeping the gas all the way to the floor.

Well my nittos are going on today! I only got down to 12.7 stock but i figure i weight about 100lbs or more than Even Smith with his 12.6 so theres my other tenth hehehehehe actually found out my tires are bad and causing the steering wheel vib i have at 100mph so the Drs are goin on the back and Nitto zrs on the front.

I wouldn't call it power shifting, more like speed shifting, as I do lift, but like you said not all the way. The weather was about 45 degrees and sunny. Perfect for our cars, and I was also suprised at the high trap speed. What was your mph at the 1/8th, mine was 89.30. Some buddies of mine were there with thier vettes one has a C5 and the other a C4 and they both trapped around 104, and ran 13.3-4, so they were shocked.

With the 108 trap speed, you'll only see 12s with a 2.0 60' time or better.

I've had several nights at the track where I cut 2.1 60' time and ran 13.0 - 13.1 repeatedly with 108-109 trap speeds

I've had one night at the track where the conditions were near perfect and I cut 2.0 60' times repeatedly and pulled 12.9 out twice at 110 and 111 MPH.

On my latest trip with a new 2.93" pulley, I ran repeated 13.0s with 2.3-2.4 60' times at 114MPH, spinning from go to 70 MPH. They had the concrete so screwed up at the track even the 4 wheel drive cars were having problems. 5 cars broke that day when they hit super sticky spots from the morning prep, but several cars were dumping antifreeze on launch and track guys couldn't keep up with burning it off.
