Is this some kind of joke? We all know this race will never happen.....
I never said new from scratch. It's a new casting based off the original. So, it's essentially a revised Coyote block. But if it's a non issue, why revise it at all? The fact is, it is an issue. Whether it's an issue at 700hp or 1200 hp, it's still an issue and they addressed it.
In no way am I suggesting there is a specific HP limit, and I don't mean to suggest the coyote isn't pretty stout as is, I'm simply showing it has the potential for failure once the power increases to the numbers we've mentioned. Perfectly tuned, it's likely a non issue. But let's be honest, this isn't a perfect world.
The Boss block is no different than the regular Coyote block. What blocks are you talking about that hold thousands of hp? The 4.6L aluminum block? If so yes, that one is proven already and has nothing to do with this discussion.
From the first page of this thread:
WHO ELSE IS A THREAT TO TERRY??? I wanna know so I can stay excited about SOME race.......sheesh!:cryying: Got all worked up for this and ..............:fm:
Almost forgot, their call out
Again I'll ask, where is the Shelby, it's not a shop car,
:burn: said no one ever
JPC is a threat to anyone, evo has been quiet for a minute, but their customers car and cruz car will be at norwalk, once lunds tt car gets a 60, it will be dangerous
IDK if they are in GA
however the Lund TT car, Coffeman and cruzintomuch are all potential threats. Certainly what JPC brings out will likely be as well as Evo... they were first in the 9s IIRC with a Coyote.....
Thanks! All great guys!!!
Man, Svt forum is such serious business.
The Turbo5.0 pack, Ken and the Boys!
Screw the Shelby, let's run apples to apples, have them bring a Coyote Mustang!
Actually Richard from Strictly Performance was first in the 9's with their NOS fed Coyote:rockon:
To me this shows the heart and work ethic Terry has for the sport more than anything...well played sir. Many expected a no show from BBR anyways. Good thing I wasn't able to get off work after all.
yes, you're correct, that did slip my mind. maybe because of the god awful music that went with the vid. :bash:
Evo was the first blower car in the 9s
Not even mad.
Did Strictly ever do anything with the car since? I never heard anything after that?
Holy sheet! That car will see mid 8s. Good job mang!
I do know the stock longblock eventually let go with that BIG shot of laughing gas at 700RW:nonono:
I take it having the etiquette to call or notify the person you agreed to show up and race is out of the question? That shows alot about the person. Good luck with your future endeavors
