figured I would post up some slips, I participated in the true street class this Saturday at Fontana raceway. was alot of fun as usual. I thought the old gal did ok esp for being my 117k daily driven street car.

seems like dropping the air pressure in my stock sized hoosier drag radials did not really help this time. the car has done better 1/8 mile et and trap speed - I think the d.a. was a lot better and was a different track.

pullied stock eaton car, full weight, rxt clutch, 3.73 gears. let me know your thoughts, thanks

here are the 4 runs:

r/t...60'...1/8 et...1/8mph...1/4 et...1/4 mph
0.640...1.875...8.016...89.17...12.405...112.47
0.584...1.882...8.176...88.72...12.632...111.81
0.358...1.779...8.040...88.64...12.466...112.09
0.308...1.931...8.219...88.69...12.631...112.40

There is high 11 second potential here..Did you short shift 2nd to 3rd in your 1.77 60 foot pass?

yes maybe that is what happened on that pass. plus it's weird because on that #3 pass it felt like I really bogged really bad, so then on the next #4 pass I gave it a lot more gas off the line trying not to bog, but ended up with worse 60'.

i'm wondering if my cars are down on power somehow because I was trapping 112s in my coupe (similar setup) at this same track in September, yet it was doing 120s at a different track in colder conditions. just like this car trapped 92s in the 1/8 before, but this time could only get 88s.

do you guys think that da/track can make that much of a difference? or should I maybe be looking at my cars being down on power?

Gotta love fontana. My car only traps 131 on 8psi and should be closer to 135-140.

Congrats on the runs... That is a fun event!

thanks  so fontana is just generally bad that way. huh? i guess it is like going to run in vegas, you can always expect to run slower...

What's up with that track? high elevation? Bad DA all the time?

our tracks here in southern california are now pretty much non-existant, most closed down to make way for condo farms and strip malls. i think the closest track we have now with decent da potential is over two hours north of here. sux

Fontana is the only Socal 1/4 spot left. But it is the worst. It is literally up hill, bad DA, and ALWAYS has a head wind.
