Can someone help me out that knows for sure. I'm looking into getting a set of 305/35/18 555Dr's but I don't know if they will fit on my rims. I have Ford FR-500s 18" by 9".

Thanks in advance. :)

Sorry guys, it will fit but it won't be close to ideal.

You're sacrificing performance and drivability when you cram a wide tire on a narrow wheel.

A 285/35 will be a much better tire on a 9 inch wheel.

Oh really, that sucks because I found a good deal on those tires. I believe you because I don't know a whole lot about tires. Maby he will sell me the front tires that are 275/35s. Also if I go with 285s would I get better traction going with a 40 or 45 as opposed to the 35s? Would that look weird with 35s up front?

We put 285/40ZR17 NT555s on a 9" wheel, and thats as big as i would go. They have more tread (by nearly an inch) than my 295/45ZR18 F1s. The 305 seems way to big.

I can't find 18" nitto 555 drag radials in 285 or 295. I would like a bigger sidewall if I could find them, 40 would be perfect because I want the look of a fatter tire in the rear. Can anyone help me out? Do I need to go to a different brand? Thanks in advance.

They are the same company...and they can get them, you just have to ask for them...I'd have to agree though, you may wanna run with a 285 instead of the 305 on the 9" rim...or just upgrade the rears to 10-10.5" and you'll be set :coolman:

I'm going to get deep dish FR-500 replicas out back so I can run the 305s. I think they should look fine with Ford Racing FR-500s in front.
