Newbie 18" wheel question...

I was hoping to get some help with my project. I'm looking to buy a set of 18x9 and 18x10 set of Saleen style silver or hyper silver coated wheels. What tires do you guys run with this setup? What Do I need to to do to make this work? Must I recalibrate the speedo, etc? Being a veteren Fox Mustang owner, all I had to do was replace the speedo gear with the appropriate one to match the new wheel size.

I will be lowering the car with H&R Race Springs and may have to roll the fenders if necessary.

Any help/feedback is appreciated.
