Purchased my Dad's 1965 F100 about a year and half ago..with plans of doing a Maruder swap..found the 03 Marauder local with 88k miles. Dads had the truck since I was about 12 so its always been special to me..will be a longer project than I am normal to but I am looking forward this build as I plan on passing along to my son at somepoint.

Definately a cool project how much did the 05 Crown Vic K-member cost you? Or did it come from the Mercury? Keep us posted with updates.

very nice.

I've looked at your build threads before and am wondering who you use for bodywork, I NC as well, and looking for a good body man. PM me any info so it doesnt clot up your thread.

Someone else actually did a marauder / ford PU hybrid, I remember it coming out pretty well. Might give you a little inspiration

You don't still have the car do you? If you have any good marauder specific parts I might be interested in funding your build.

Did you get to run the car before you yanked the engine? The 03's had a "oil puff on startup" issue, basically the same issues (along with the head tick) that a 03 terminator would have.

Also, just as a general FYI, the rack and pinion on that car is valved specifically to the marauder, it is a lot tighter and less of an assist than a grand marquis or crown vic. The alternator also has a different regulator versus the crown vic so if you have to swap the alternator for whatever reason and can't find the right one, make sure you swap the regulator.

Best of luck with the swap
