My son (FoolnYa) and I went to Virginia Motorsports Park Friday night for some 1/4 mile racing.
We invited the 'supposed' NA 3.7 Mustang record holder down from WV to run with us. He has posted a video saying his car ran a 12.77 while being NA. There are many people that think he may have had a small shot of nitrous on his car when he claims to have run the 12.77.
My fastest to date was (4) 12.78's @ 109+ MPH a couple of weeks ago at Fayetteville (NC) Motorsports Park.
At the end of the night I was able to set the record with a run of 12.63 @ 108.86 MPH. My son also beat the old record with a 12.71 @ 109 MPH. The guy from WV made four passes in his Sterling Gray '12 automatic 3.7 Mustang and ran 13.20's and 13.30's. I will let people decide why he was 4 to 5 tenths off of his 12.77 time. The DA was about +700 at the start of the night and got down to sea level at the end of the night.
Here is a video from the track. My car is the Race Red ' 11 3.7 and my son's is the Black '12 3.7. Unfortunately I ran my record run on the first pass of the night and my son and I were in the staging lanes together and my youngest son who does the videoing for us hadn't got to the track yet.
