Hi all, new here and good to be on board. I've scoured the internet and this place seems to be a good source of knowledgeable info on these cars.

I'll do my best to contribute to the great content where I can. I've already changed ball joints, tie rod ends, rear axis joints and the steering column on this car so if you need any info on that just let me know.

Here are a few pics of my baby - purchased a few month ago. It's an Australian Right-Hook SVT Cobra from back in 2001/2002.

Welcome to the party glad you could make it.
Car looks to be in good condition. Any mods planned?

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments.
At the moment I'm grappling with either keeping it stock, or going all out!..
Only 200 or so ever sold, so very rare. But there are better examples with lower miles in this country put safely away, so I'm thinking that gives me a green light to modify mine. But then, am I committing blasphemy by carving up such a rare car? lol

depends on what you mean by all out I guess. For the most part with bolt on stuff just box the original stuff up and put in the attic. I'd want at least a shifter and cat back. It's your car, do what makes ya happy with it, **** the next guy.

Nice car. It's neat to see something we don't see very often. I wanted to figure out how to import one of your newer Aussie Falcons with a 5.4 that made decent power.

It can be done but $$$
The Falcons are starting to rise in value very sharply here, because Ford Australia in their wisdom decided not to make them any more after a history that spans over 60 years.

If you're after a high HP 5.4 Falcon specifically, try to find an FPV car, so an FPV GT, FPV GT-P or FPV Pursuit Ute. They made the most power from factory. Watch the usual 5.4 trouble points, such as chain rattle.

The alternative would be a Barra powered FPV - such as an FPV F6 Typoon. But even a Ford Falcon XR6 can be made to do amazing things - the Barra motor is very robust and easy to extract power from.

Welcome to the boards! I'm curious how your headlight switch looks up close. Definitely different from what we have on our cars here in the States.
