I will work on a new video. I currently have a couple of clips but they all kind of suck. I am also on duty and can't leave the ship until tomarrow. I will set something up and post up a new clip of the exhaust asap. I had one up here a while ago, but I have changed a bunch of things. I feel like you guys want me to get a Dynojet pull.....Maybe next month, I have to get some new O2 sensors and go on a small cruise.

Thanks na svt. In regards to a tune, I hear they can run 300-500 dollars. Is that true? I know the tuners are 300+ depending on which you get, so it doesnt make sense to me that for just the tune it would be around the same price.

I paid $350 for my SCT x3 and $350 for my tune.

Dyno/tune time runs about $125 an hour. If you have an Xcal already your tune shouldn't cost more than $125.

There's 2 tuners here locally and they both charge roughly the same amount, which is the above posted $350. YMMY.

That's a ripoff.

It is what it is.. I can't do it myself, so I had to pay what the professional charges. I'm sure a lot of people that take their car into service think that the $100/hr rate is outrageous, but they pay it anyway because they can't do it themselves.

Yea, sounds like I'd rather spend the money on an actual tuner for the same amount. That will give you more options, then maybe I'd be able to somewhere along the way find a guy who knows how to tweak it and help me out.

Im far from wealthy. Actually I'm more like 'just getting by' at the moment. Had a real bad run of luck with employment last year lol, yes i was one of those statistics

Go here:

Amazon Tuning Solutions-Custom Tuning Specialists - SVTPerformance

(Amazon tuning solutions)

Datalog your car driving normal and with a WOT run, send them the datalog files, they will analyze them and write you a tune and e-mail it to you, download into your tuner and upload to your ECU. Next, do another datalog, send files to them, they adjust the original tune, and they send you any updates.

The cost of the tune along with lifetime updates for as long as you own your car is just a mere $175 and means that you can add mods to your car, datalog them and email them over and they'll redo the tune for you at no extra cost.

Real world driving conditions are what your tune will be made from and not a blast of WOT on the rollers.

You need an 'actual tuner' for them to tune your car still. They cannot tune it without Diablo or SCT. I paid a total of $700 for my tune.

Oh, wow. ok I am starting to get the picture now. So basically start with a tuner, with a preset(or canned) tune. Then work your way to a dyno and get them to tune it. Then your set. The only thing is this Amazon Tuning Solutions seems to be a good idea, Ill ahve to research it.

You don't have to start with a canned tune. I bought my Xcal and put the car on the rollers. The tune was put into the Xcal and flashed into the computer. With the tuner you can make minor changes to the tune as needed. You cannot make major changes and unless you have a wideband and a way to datalog it wouldn't be safe to do so anyway.
