So I've been talking about it for forever, and I ordered it close to 6 months ago, but my Raptor finally came in and I finally got to go pick it up! I bought it from Helfman Ford out of Stafford, TX and drove it all the way home to SoCal. From that drive I can say I absolutely LOVE this truck! I can't think of a thing I'd change outside of the exhaust note. lol. (it's not as bad as they say, but it'll never beat a V8 in the sound dept.)

This was taken while heading North to Las Vegas from I40! Nothing beats a dirty Raptor hauling balls through the desert.

This is the first time I got gas in the truck. Which didn't take long since I've averaged about 13.5 MPGs. You don't realize how big these are until you see them next to other things!

A side shot of when I cleaned it up today at the house!

I stopped off in Dallas to see some old friends from the Marine Corps and decided to take this pic while looking at his HellKitty. lol

I cleaned her up after the long trip to Socal!

This is the first pic the dealer sent me. I can't express how excited I was to get this:

Engine specs??
Very nice and congrats! BOOMER!

They come with a twin turbo V6 nowadays. But don't let that fool you, it puts out 450HP and 510lbft of torque through a 10 speed auto. This thing MOVES OUT. lol. I'm currently just waiting for the aftermarket to catch up so I can get a cold air kit, exhaust, and tune on it. Word on the playground is the turbos push 18lbs of boost stock, so I should be able to up it a bit with the tune since it has electronic wastegates.

Thanks everyone!

Very nice! Helfman? Damn you were about 15 minutes away from me lol.

I thought about doing an "all call" of Houston people on here to see if anyone wanted to meet up for lunch, but I got sidetracked coming back to the states and didn't think about it until I actually got there. lol. I figured by then it would be too late.

Very nice, congrats! I see you're in Victorville, maybe I'll see it around. I'm 10 minutes away in Oak Hills.

congrats on the new raptor, I think Ford did a great job with them, sucks it doesn't have a V8, but the twins make up for it.

I hated it at first as well, to be honest. But the exhaust note doesn't sound terrible and the sound of the turbos spooling up is pretty mean. Plus when I stand on it I flat out monkey stomp a hole in the first gen Raptor's ass. lol

Congrats! Welcome to the brotherhood.
Ive been averaging 14.9 mpg in normal mode around town.

Yeah, now that I'm not cruising uphill at 85 mph against a 40 mile an hour headwind I'm getting a LOT better mileage. I just took the truck to Yosemite and San Francisco and averaged 17.5 for the trip. But it was at cruising speeds and not "get there NOW" speeds. lol

The truck at Yosemite with Half Dome in the background. I'm actually going to hike up that this summer.

I'm sure you will! I go to that side all the time (just passing through) to visit my friend in Crestline. If you ever want to go off roading or something let me know. There's a group of us from work that like to go all the time.

Yeah, I realize I'm in for a helluva time keeping the paint up. it's even worse since I fully intend to use this thing off road as much as possible. lol. Luckily I like to clean my vehicles a lot. I find it therapeutic.

Sounds good! Pm me when you guys are going off roading again. My brother has a new 4x4 Tacoma so he may want to go also.
