What impedance are the factory front door 5x7" speakers in the Shaker 500 system?
Stock Front door speakers are 25watt 2ohm 6x9's.
I replaced mine with some Pioneer speakers, but did not switch out the door subs.

OP: Can those RF door subs be ran off the stock shaker amp, or are you planning to install an aftermarket amp?

EDITE: You show both Kicker (1st pg) & RF (2nd Pg) Subs in this thread..which did you put in the door?

I am running the door subs off the stock amp and radio at the molment. And I had kicker door subs at first, but then returned them for the rockford speakers because they were all black and had a nice mesh grill that blends in much better.

Hi I just got my new ADS sterio dash kit in the mail and test fit it today. I love it , it fits snug and the color match is perfect. also the radio in in the center not the bottom like most other kits. I love the storage compartment in the bottom my phone fits perfect. It also come with 15 diffferent buttons you can pick what you want to program to in the center 3 spots. I will using a kenwood dnx890hd or dnn990hd radio with this kit. It retains all your sync, steering wheel and the rest of the factory feachers.

I must be missing something. How in the world do you control the HVAC? You have 3 spots for buttons an I would need 2 just for my heated seats.

Just for clarification for everyone, in order to use this kit what I would call effectively, it requires some very specific items.

1. This Dash kit which obviously is bad ass!
2. A Double-Din Kenwood that's compatable with iDataLink
3. The iDataLink interface itself
4. A vehicle that is sync enabled.

This will integrate in all of your climate control, heated seats, gauges, etc. directly on your head unit. You'll choose the zone(Feet, Vent, MAX A/C etc.) via the touch screen interface on the head unit.

If you do not have Sync (I.E. a Base Model) You're basically screwed. As there is no way to push through the climate data to the head unit.

If you do have Sync. Take it from a Residential and Mobile A/V Installer/Integrator. This is one of the cleanest setups I've seen in a car. You should do it! If my car had Sync I would.

You'll love the 990. Kenwoods stopped being laggy last year and blow everything else out of the water...

And I used to be an alpine guy

it state that it is for either sync or base setup. When you go to buy it it ask what you have

Yes it does, it also states that if you have a base model. Climate control integration isn't compatible. So while you can certainly put this in a base model. You're going to have to retrofit some sort of means to control your thermostat. I'm not saying it's not doable, anything is. However if you want it to be seamless functionality. Strongly recommend only using this setup on a car that has sync.

Whats the best route to piece this setup together?

OK that makes sense. I didn't go all the way through on the base since I have sync. But that does such for they guys that don't have sync

Where do you see that climate control isn't compatible with a base model? I am not seeing that anywhere on the website.

I don't think that is correct.

I will contact them to find out for sure.

It's sorta hidden I've told them this.

The only way this clues you in is once you select your vehicle from the drop down, then choose the base non sync steering wheel. You'll then notice that several settings are lost. Rumor has it they're going to make a new one for retaining the manual climate stuff. Who knows though.

It will not work I've tried on a buddies car. Would have had to get crafty and drimmel out holes for the Base climate control knobs and buttons and make a special harness to retain their function. It'd be a very custom job. I would recommend going to a professional.

Do some research on the best 12 volt audio guy in you're area and have it professionally done. It's going to take some crafty workmanship. I recommended to them that they make a different setup for the base model that replaces that pocket with the manual climate control buttons/knobs.

Sounds like something I'll pass on haha!. I dont trust audio shops to do my installs and if it requires a ton of hacking, then I think i'd rather pass. Sounds and looks like a sweet setup for those of us with Sync though.

Here is the response I got straight from ADS

" Climate will work in any of the 2010-2014 Mustang's. Sync is not required. Sync is one system we can retain and integrate, but everything else (including gauges, vehicle info, and climate) will all work.. "

Edit: I do see what you mean about the climate control option dissapearing on their website though.

Hi,

Actually the climate control features disappear when you choose any of the steering wheels as it was a glitch on the site that it was showing at all. We cannot tell you in the main search result if that is going to work as we don't know if you are installing with our dash kit and or just with our T-harness and someone else's dash kit. If the latter, climate will not work in the radio as the climate controls in the other guy's kit cannot be functional at the same time as the ones in the radio. It's one or the other not both. We plan to enable a selection for what accessory you are using and then the result will be clear. However if you use our kit in a 2010-2014 Mustang, climate will work regardless of the equipment the car came with.

Sorry it is confusing, we are doing best we can for now. Bottom line, no one needs to fabricate anything. It will work.
