The truck is beautiful, but I can't believe that they dropped the supercharger off of it. My 03 HD would smoke that thing, and it's bone stock.

They dropped the SC for 2004-2005 also (I know only F250-F350 HD's). Maybe they are now trying an upscale AWD four-door truck.

It seems to me Ford keeps finding a new "nich" for the Harleys, maybe the 06 is meant to fill another "new" one.

Be glad you have an 01 or 02-03 or 04-05, there arent many around like yours. IMO, thats what makes these trucks so cool. Imagine if they just kept making the exact same thing year to year, none of them would as "cool" as they are.

IMO, hardly UGLY. Its a very nice looking truck. Its a 1/2 ton pickup with all wheel drive and a full size bed. Its TOTALLY new to the F-Series Harley line-up, WHICH IS GOOD!

2001- F150 2wd 5.4 N/A Extended cab 6' bed

2002-2003 F150 2wd 5.4 SC Supercrew 5.5' bed

2004-2005 F250/350 4wd V-10/TD Crew (extd cab?) short bed

2006- F150 2wd/AWD 5.4 3V Extended cab 6' bed

Looks great to me...

They dropped the supercharger in 04-05, because engine options were V-10 which was pretty stout to begin with, or a Turbo diesel. What worries me about using the regular stock engine in the 06 is that most people say the F-150 don't really feel like they have 300HP because of the weight.

H-D truck

If this new HD is going to base price at 39,995 (similar to the Lincoln truck) and only the same engine as everything else I would add a few K and get the Ram srt10
That price would equate it with the Silverado SS which was fat and cost over 40k and was all wheel drive
All wheel drive is a cheap 4 wheel drive because it eliminates the low range
too bad for Ford- the blown HD trucks are awesome
Now you can get a blown Tacoma with a 6 speed that has 300 hp from the dealer for about 10k less money

hey guys!

i don't know if many of you heard, but ford will be offering whipple superchargers through ford racing. and they will be offering the superchargers as an accessory for a new car sale. so you can buy the 2.3 whipple have it installed and finance trough ford credit.
